I love watching all the Naked and Afraid episodes. However, as season 8 was coming to an end. I really began to see the rise of the male ego. Amber is a great survivalist whose skills can match any of the males on the show. Instead of these ego-sentric males using her skills, they kept her barefoot and in the kitchen. I have to give her kudos for her sticking it out with this all-macho crew. The macho attitude that EJ propagates throughout his challenges, unfortunately, began making its way into all the male survivalists this season. You would think by now the LEGEND survivalists would know that yelling in the jungle only spreads the human footprint. Amber, you go girl!!!
First up is the jumbo-sized iteration of the series: Naked & Afraid XL: Next Level, in which the contestants must survive alone for 40 days with primitive tools and nothing else. Rob and Mari watched Naked & Afraid XL: Next Level season 8, episode 8, “You Left Us To Rot.”
